Use StuffPal to share books, DVDs and video games!
I was recently introduced to a clever new Facebook App called StuffPal. Stuff Pal was created for users to share their personal library of books, DVDs and video games with their Facebook friends.
How StuffPal works
First you visit www.stuffpal.com and log in with your Facebook account. Once logged in, you can ‘add’ your stuff to your account. You create an inventory of items that friends could borrow including books, DVD’s and videogames. Once your collection is uploaded you invite your friends to log in to the site. Once your friends create an account and added their stuff, you can view their collection and they can see yours. Then the borrowing begins! The last step is to meet up in person and exchange your items.
The benefits
It’s a superior tracking system! You always know who borrowed your stuff and when it’s “due”. I can see this being a useful tool for all ages, tweens, teens, students and families. Having a way to share and “go shopping” on friends sites is very eco-friendly. I can encourage the kids to check StuffPal first before making new purchases or paying to rent a DVD or video game.
What a great way to save money, reuse and recycle! Especially for budget minded college students since it can apply to sharing college text books.
