Small Business Saturday , November 24, 2012, encourages holiday shoppers to patronize brick and mortar businesses that are small and local.
Small Business Saturday is dedicated to supporting small businesses nationwide. An American shopping holiday created by American Express
on November 27, 2010, it is held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, during one of the busiest shopping periods of the year. By supporting small businesses,
you are not only helping your local economy, but also your fellow neighbors, friends and family.

Please help support this worthy cause by sharing this message with your friends, family and neighbors. The Twitter
hashtag #SmallBusinessSaturday has existed since early 2010 and was used to promote small businesses. The
hashtag is used in a manner similar to #FollowFriday to highlight favorite local businesses.

Small Business Saturday the perfect day to live our values and support local business owners.  Shoppers are encouraged to spread the news and shout out the deals!

  1. This is a good idea. I can see that the focus here is on local, which is great, but I think it’s also important to note than many small businesses exist online (or solely online), which are just as worthy to support.
