Shop Local and Green at THREAD Show
Come shop the top apparel trends of the season, October 9th, while simultaneously supporting local designers. In addition to shopping, THREAD Show’s holiday tour features a DIY Gift Wrapping Lounge, pop-up local art gallery, live music, Style Lounge, Nail Bar, Live Style Series, THREAD Well Lounge, live screen printing, and no holiday shopping event would be complete without a cheeky photo booth.
“This holiday shopping event allows trend-setters to shop more cost effectively while purchasing unique gifts inspired with creativity for people they care about,” explains THREAD Show spokesperson, Danielle Gano. “THREAD Show also gives locals an opportunity to meet the designers face-to-face, feed the local economy, be kind to the environment and ensure the gifts they give are locally-made and ethically produced.”
Shop Local: Now, more than ever, it’s important to support local designers – the future of the Earth depends on it!
8 reasons you should shop local:
1. Support your local economy
2. Ensure choice and diversity in products
3. Help maintain community character and prosperity
4. 80% of money spent on local designers will make its way back into the community
5. Support the job market
6. Reduced environmental impact
7. Support entrepreneurship
8. Save money by cutting people out of the distribution chain
RECYCLE. REDUCE. REUSE: THREAD is committed to ‘going green’ so make sure you check out all the eco-friendly designers and stop by the clothing swap to trade in your old duds for some ‘new to you’ bits.
